Restaurant Schrøder is a restaurant serving Norwegian food, and we have been for a hundred years.
We offer a wide range of dishes, from everyday fare like meatballs, to traditional foods such as herring, fermented trout, and seasonal specialties, such as skrei (pelagic cod) and game meats.
We haven’t had much international praise that we know of, but plenty of acknowledgement from local media. “This is excellent fare, but goodness, how stuffed one gets,” Dagbladet wrote in their review in 1969. “This has always been a place for nice people, good food and no fuss”, Dagbladet, 1981.
